Our Supported Living Program encompasses a broad range of services for adults with developmental disabilities. One-on-one direct services are provided to ensure that our participants are successful in their daily living activities.
UCP Greater New Orleans provides Supported Living Services though its Direct Service Workers (DSWs). Our specially trained staff members assist individuals with their personal needs including but not limited to daily life skills training, housing, money management, transportation, socialization and recreation.
DSWs are required to meet strict employment requirements. Among these requirements are an annual 40 hour in-service training program focusing on First Aid, CPR, and other emergency training procedures.
Many individuals, even those with severe disabilities, are able to live in their own homes and become active members of the community because of our Supported Living Services Program.
